Jonathan Arrington: amateur (freshly in love) of sacred, liturgical and modern languages; did his doctoral studies in patristics at the Augustinianum in Rome, Italy; sings tenor; has a lovely and growing family.

The Apostolic Fathers:

1. The First Epistle of Pope St. Clement of Rome

2. The Seven epistles of St. Ignatius of Antioch (Theophoros, the God-bearer)

3. The Martyrdom of St. Polycarp of Smyrna (and correspondence with St. Ignatius)

4. The Didache 

These are recorded classes for you to watch as your schedule permits. The videos will be released on Sundays and Wednesdays. Afterwards, there will be two live and recorded Q&A sessions with the instructor on Tuesday and Thursday.

The Pentateuch and the Psalms: five books as five Spiritual senses - In most Bibles, the Psalms are usually divided into five “books”; there are five books of Moses; there are also many parallels between the Penteteuch and the five books of the Psalms - some patent to any attentive reader, others more mystical and a sort of buried treasure. Through the greats Fathers and Doctors, and a Lapide and Maximos the Confessor, we’ll mine the treasures.
